Tourism and travel is one subject which is made more interesting to the students when they are taken on a visit to the various places of touristic and historic places in and around Vijayawada as well as in the different parts of the country.
The dept. strives to inspire and educate the students by organizing long and study tour for the benefit of students studying Tourism and History. In this regard, the following tours were organized especially for the students of Tourism and Travel Management as it is required of them to visit various places of Touristic importance and prepare a Project Report of the sam:
During 2013-14 Summer, the students of First B.A. TTM were taken on a long study tour to Orissa covering important centres such as Bhuvaneswar, Konark and Puri. This trip enabled the students to gather practica knowledge about the various touristic centres, their attractions, connectivity, facilities and their relevance to the development and promotion of Tourism. The tour was organized and conducted by Dr G. Beulah Pearl Sunanda, Head, Dept. of History & TTM and Ms Rajeswaari from the Dept. of Hindi also accompanied the students.
During the summer of 2014-15, the first year TTM students were taken to Bngalore, Mysore, Bandiur Wildlife Sancuatury and Ooty by Dr G. Beulah and Ms Rjeswari from the Dept. of Hindi. the tour was very enjoyable, enightening and eduactional.
